Automated Cryogenic LN2 Storage System

Technical Features

• Samples are stored in vapor phase, insulation of storage is made of stainless steel vacuum jacket with vacuum of 1×10-5Pa, top temperature ≤-180℃ and it takes ＞15 days for the top temperature to raise to -150℃ if liquid nitrogen supply is stopped.
• Vial picking area temperature can be adjusted, with the lowest temperature ≤-180, the freezer has standard software to control the operation of the whole process.
• Dual refrigeration mode: liquid nitrogen refrigeration (≤-180℃) and compressor refrigeration (-80℃), two modes can be freely switchable and used for long term, user can switch between two modes based on their requirements, ensuring sample safety.
• The motor, module, transmission, mechanical arm and other parts of the mechanical operation area are in the normal temperature area, only the manipulator is in the LN2  zone when picking up the vials, avoiding parts damaged caused by low temperature of liquid nitrogen.
• The freezer is equipped with low-temperature transport robots and control software, which can be seamlessly connected with GOLD SIM automated controlled rate freezer, automated LN2 freezer, automated refrigerator, automatic cold storage and other products to achieve unattended storage area.
• The low-temperature transport robot is equipped with -180℃low temperature transport box, which can be seamlessly connected to the storage area, ensuring the whole process including sample storage, sample delivery, vial picking, transport are under -180℃.
• Cryogenic racks are designed as hand-held basket, in case of emergency when manual intervention is required, samples can be transferred to a backup storage system.
• Static evaporation rate of automated LN2 freezer is ≤10L/day.
• Automatic inventory function: The system can manage the scattered vials in the storage area during idle time to make the cryogenic box in the storage system is saturated or empty to optimize storage space and save time for sample storage and delivery.
• The storage system has standard sample information storage software and can be connected to 3nd party sample management software.
• He automated storage system will give visual/audible alarm in the conditions of abnormal temperature, system failure, misoperation, unauthorized operation, etc, and notify the relevant operators through telephone and SMS.
